The compost facility is located at the rear entrance of the Borough’s wastewater treatment facility, 650 Erie Rd. "Yard Waste" is defined as leaves, grass clippings, garden materials, shrub/hedge trimmings, weeds, and brush one inch or less in diameter. The yard waste drop-off and composting are the most environmentally and cost-effective method to collect and dispose of yard waste and leaves. After the material is composted, it is used as a soil enrichment and mulching for Borough use and is offered free to Borough residents.

  •  NO tree stumps will be accepted.
  • Garden waste, shrubbery trimmings, leaves, and grass clippings are accepted.
  • No yard waste from commercial sources will be accepted.
  • Dumping materials other than yard waste at yard waste locations is strictly forbidden and is considered illegal dumping.
