A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was sent to the Quakertown Borough Non-uniformed Employees Pension Plan on September 20, 2024. The request was made by us at Upper Bucks Today, a media organization committed to comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs.
We are seeking records under the Pennsylvania Right to Know Law, specifically looking for a list of all active and retired employees in the organization's pension fund for the year of 2023. We have requested this information in an electronic format for ease of analysis and reporting.
The data fields we have asked for include last name, first name, middle name, date of birth, employer name, employment start date, employment end date, salary, compensation type, amount, year, process date, last disbursement amount, disbursement frequency and the 2023 contribution amount.
As a media organization involved in gathering and reporting news to the public, access to public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. These responsibilities include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public. Given our role in disseminating information to the public sphere, we believe we are eligible for a fee waiver as a media professional.
We will continue to update our readers as more information becomes available or if there are any developments regarding this request.
