Fire Safety Tips | Springfield Township
An important message from Springfield Fire Company:
Unfortunately, December is a month that the Fire Company has responded to serious and devasting fires, especially as the holidays near. To have happy and safe holidays with your families, utilize these National Fire Protective Association’s Fire Safety Tips.
1. Candles – keep children, pets, and decorations away from lit candles. Extinguish lit candles when you leave the room or go to bed. Use battery-operated candles as an option.
2. Lighting decorations – replace any worn or damaged light strings or extension cords. “When in doubt, throw them out” Use decorations per the manufacture’s recommendations for indoor or outdoor use.
