Rep. Craig Staats of Bucks County has announced that two senior centers in the 145th District have been awarded grants from the Pennsylvania Department of Aging. The Upper Bucks Senior Activity Center in Quakertown and Eastern Upper Bucks Senior Inc. in Ottsville have each been allocated $2,551.

“I am thrilled to see two senior centers in my district receive this funding,” said Staats. “Both centers are pillars of the senior community in their respective locations, and this grant money will help fund new programs that will be beneficial to the senior community at large in Upper Bucks.”

The grants are part of a $1 million package designed to cover smaller needs and improve programs for senior citizen centers. The funding for these grants comes from the Pennsylvania Lottery and is appropriated by the General Assembly.
