Rep. Craig Staats and Rep. Shelby Labs have revealed that the Pennsylvania Department of Education has granted financial aid to Palisades School District through its Environmental Repairs Grant Program. This initiative aims to improve school facilities.
Rep. Staats expressed support for the grant's impact, stating, "It is fantastic to see Palisades School District receive money from this grant. This funding from PDE will help Palisades make necessary improvements to school facilities to keep them safe for both students and teachers.”
Rep. Labs added, "Our students and teachers deserve a safe and healthy environment in which to learn and teach. This funding is an important investment in facilities improvements that ultimately benefit the future of our students."
The grant awarded to Palisades School District amounts to $170,684. The grant program assists Pennsylvania school districts and other educational institutions in enhancing water infrastructure, eliminating contamination, and addressing mold or asbestos issues, among other environmental hazard projects within school buildings.
