The Bucks County Free Library's Quakertown branch has secured a grant amounting to $492,837. The grant comes from the Pennsylvania Broadband Development Authority's (PBDA) Multi-Purpose Community Facilities Program (MPCFP). This funding will be utilized to repair the library’s roof and update its infrastructure.

Representative Craig Staats of the 145th Legislative District in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives announced the grant. The MPCFP provides financial support to community projects aimed at constructing, acquiring, or improving facilities such as shared office spaces, recreational centers, schools, and libraries. "I am very pleased to see the Bucks County Free Library in Quakertown receive this grant," Staats stated. "They received the full funding they asked for and it will allow them to fully fund their roof replacement project. I was proud to support this project for our library. I know these improvements will help make the library a place for everyone to enjoy."

The MPCFP is financed through the Coronavirus Capital Projects Fund, established under the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.
