The Bucks County Free Library in Quakertown is set to benefit from nearly half a million dollars in grant funding directed at repairing its roof and updating its infrastructure. Representative Craig Staats, a Republican from Bucks, has announced the receipt of a $492,837 grant from the Pennsylvania Broadband Development Authority’s Multi-Purpose Community Facilities Program.

This financial backing supports community-oriented projects such as shared office spaces, recreation centers, schools, and libraries. Staats expressed his satisfaction with the grant allocation, confirming that the funds fully cover the library's roof repair costs. "I am very pleased to see the Bucks County Free Library in Quakertown receive this grant," noted Staats. "They received the full funding they asked for and it will allow them to fully fund their roof replacement project. I was proud to support this project for our library. I know these improvements will help make the library a place for everyone to enjoy."

The Multi-Purpose Community Facilities Program is supported by the Coronavirus Capital Projects Fund, which is part of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.

The announcement underscores a continued commitment to community development and infrastructure enhancement within the region.
