Centennial School District issued the following announcement.
Hello CSD Parents/Guardians and Faculty/Staff:
Today, the PA Department of Health updated the COVID Early Warning Dashboard.
The new update shows every indicator/metric exceeds and in some cases significantly exceeds the indicators/metrics CSD developed based upon the guidelines provided by the CDC and PA Department of Education in collaboration with the PA Department of Health.
As previously communicated, if the new indicators/metrics indicated the continuing trend upwards, CSD would move to the full-virtual instructional model. Also, CSD is experiencing challenges with our ability to consistently implement our health and safety plan the impact of quarantine requirements and other factors.
Effective, Monday, November 23, 2020, CSD will be in the full-virtual instructional model using the same indicator/metric tool that warranted our change to hybrid (part virtual/part in-person).
Additionally, we were informed today that the Suburban One League voted to shutdown all workouts and practices in accordance with the Montgomery County Office of Public Health from 11/23-12/6. This action occurs because over half of the membership is either in Montgomery County or competes against Montgomery County school districts.
CSD will continue to monitor information that is provided by the CDC, PA Department of Health, PA Department of Education, Bucks County Department of Health, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP, and other relevant agencies in order to make objective decisions on how to provide a safe teaching and learning environment as best we can for both students and staff.
We will be communicating additional information later and updates regarding any possible changes that may occur with our instructional model based upon any new information or direction.
